“As an independent philanthropic organisation we recognise that everything we do affects our community. The changes that occur for stakeholders, and the community, as a result of our actions is our social impact. This impact can be positive or negative, intended or unintended. We want to fully understand this.
We have partnered with Carmel Riley at the CRSE Group to develop a Strategic Plan that will guide us for the next five years working with those in our community who know the problems, and very often have the solutions to them. A Social Impact Statement underway will also help identify and design the way we approach our partnerships in the future.
CRSE Group is a Social Traders certified social enterprise passionate about working with professional job seekers who are facing barriers to employment. They have been instrumental in GSF securing Ibraheem Bahiss as our recently appointed Data and Evaluation Manager.
Carmel says “Greater Shepparton Foundation has demonstrated industry leadership by leveraging their procurement function towards social impact - social procurement policy is established within government and large corporates, however is an emerging space in the philanthropic and NFP sector.”
