Latrobe Community Health Service

Case study

My first experience working with Carmel from CRSE Group was with a local organisation called Baw Baw LLEN and we established this wonderful project called Coffee Cart. The project involved working with people from as many as 30 multicultural backgrounds.

Through capacity building, helping people to understand what it takes to work in the hospitality sector, we went to Carmel and asked her to do an evaluation piece for us so that we could determine the next step forward.

Some of the things I really like about CRSE Group was their flexibility, responsiveness, and approach towards finding and hearing different voices. Coming from a multicultural background, my migrant status, I have different ideas and experiences that I had assumed was a shared experience common for many migrants, but through this project I found that each of us is different. I loved CRSE Group’s openness and ability to explore these diverse perspectives and find shared values to bring us all together.
